Do you adore horror genre games more than anything else? If you just nodded, do get your hands on Five Nights at Freddy’s. The gameplay of this amazingly designed game is sure to make you jump out of your skin.
Graphics of the game have been intelligently designed to hike the horror quotient. Be it the animatronic robots or the background, everything has been designed to wrap you with horror and thrill. You also come across some pitch black corners and backgrounds that further enhance the gaming experience. Harmonizing with these graphics and visual effects are the background score and sound effects. On the whole, the game is sure to give you that spooky experience which you always desired.
Gameplay – 4.5/5
Though the storyline of the game is simple but the real thrill lies in playing it. You are pursuing your summer job at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza and you shoulder the responsibility of the premise’s security in the night. There are animatronic robots in the arena which please the crowds in the daytime. However, the behavior of these robots becomes unpredictable in the night.
You, as the night security guard of the premise, have to watch the security cameras carefully from your small office. Due to corporate budget cuts, there is limited electricity in the night. This means that when you run out of power, the security doors and camera stop working. However, when the power comes back, you need to ensure that the Freddybear and his friends are in proper place. If not, your duty is to find them on the monitors. Guess what! You also need to protect yourself from them.
You have to undertake the same tasks and perform the same duty for five nights provided you are all fit, fine, and ALIVE!
Controls – 4.5/5
The game is mostly played using your mouse. There is a mouse pointer that you get to see on the screen. You can use the same to select the cameras, mute the call, and select other options that the game shows you from time to time. However, do note that there are certain things that you can undertake with the help of your keyboard. Some of these things include quitting the game (ESC key), pressing the F3 key to restart, etc.
Replay Value – 3/5
The game seems all good and interesting until a couple of jumpscares. Once you experience some of these jumpscares, you may find the game quite monotonous. However, you are sure to play the game again and again till you complete all the five nights of it. But once you are done with all of them, there are thin chances that you would play it again from the beginning. Thus, mentioning that the replay value of the game is low won’t be untrue.
The Five Night at Freddy’s is one such PC game that takes the definition of horror to altogether a new level. As a security guard, all you need to do is manage simple things. In the case any mismanagement or any goof-ups, you are sure to find yourself in a big trouble. After a blackout, do make sure to locate the animatronic robots as soon as you can or you won’t just lose your job but your LIFE too!
Ready to do a summer job where your life is at risk? Or are you bold enough to overcome any trouble? Find out in the gameplay of Five Nights at Freddy’s.
